AVILAStudio was appointed to develop the structural solution for this extensive residential refurbishment in North West London, in collaboration with the architectural office Y-Architecture.

The project required a tailored solution for the open-space kitchen living room at ground floor, and consequently the erection of a steel support structure under the majority of the rear part of the building, together with extension of both second and loft levels.

Programme & value engineering

Aside from the extensive demolition required, the project involved a considerably short programme and a limited budget. AVILAStudio provided full engineering services including support for a successful value engineering exercise to reduce overall costs. The project was completed within budget and programme with full satisfaction of the client.
